And the guys are great there friendly jersey style. Last night my wife and I ordered a fresh mozzarella pie and gave an $8 tip.
While eating my slice I had to pull a long hair out my mouth. We called to give them a chance to make things right and the individual who answered was extremely rude and said it was a hair from my head. Not only was the hair way longer than my hair if it was my hair it would have been right on top not threaded into the cheese. After the terrible customer service we did not trust them to make another pizza for us and just wanted a refund. The rude manager said we had to contact seamless so we did. The nice representative at seamless contacted the pizzeria and said they refused the refund but they will refund it anyway.
Stay far away from this place they clearly don't value their long time loyal customers. Solorzano's family has been in pizza for decades. His grandfather, Filippo Centrella, moved from Avellino, a small town near Naples, Italy, to Western New York and opened up a pizzeria with his brother. The two opened at least three restaurants in the New Jersey area. Solorzano's father, Carlos Solorzano, started working in the pizza shops as a teenager.
He met his future wife, Centralla's daughter, Franca, working at the restaurant. Their two sons, Phil and Carlos Jr., fit naturally in the business. Eventually Carlos and Filippo's eldest daughter Franca started dating and married in 1979.
Shortly after the Solorzano's two sons were born, they were able to start a business of their own. The young couple opened Filippo's II in 1985 on the same street in Hoboken as the original, paying homage to the man who had started it all. Filippo's III and IV opened in the years following, all owned and operated by Carlos while Franca stayed at home with the boys.
By 1995, the Solorzano's had sold all three pizzerias, and decided to concentrate their efforts on one single business. Carlos, Franca, and their sons Carlos Jr. and Philip opened Filippo's Pizza Café at the corner of First Street and Willow Avenue in Hoboken. Six months later, the family moved to the Sun coast and Solorzano's Restaurant was opened in March of 2004. Six months later, the family moved to the Suncoast and Solorzano's Restaurant was opened in March of 2004. Great for the ones who enjoy shopping. Easy walking from store to store in the beautiful beach side town.
High end boutiques and great restaurants located around the circle. Will need to drive or ride share to the Circle from your vacation rental. Best Pizza in town hands down! Best buffalo chicken pizza I've ever tasted!
You will NOT be disappointed! Skip the big box pizza chains and support local small biz! They get an A+ from our family.
Solorzanos Late Night Pizza Siesta Key Phil said I'd get a free slice of pizza if I gave an "honest" review of Sarasota Watch Company, after I showed them and got my free pizza I felt horrible. So I went back in and gave Sarasota Watch Company 5 stars instead. Phil shouldn't tell his customers to give bad reviews to other businesses, it's really unprofessional and unethical.
If I was his landlord I'd kick him out before he did me dirty like he did to the landlords in Siesta Key and Venice. "Business owners have also come out to us and said, 'Hey, listen, we wish we were in a position to be true to ourselves and say what we truly want to say,'" Palin told SNN. This shows people at the store are very vocal about it. Solorzano likes how the competition of working by other pizzerias pushes him, but he says he respects other businesses. He avoids selling fried food out of respect for the menu at Munchies 420 Café, his across-the-street neighbor.
He has never opened up a pizza shop on Main Street out of respect for the owner of Il Panificio, who hosted him during his first trip to Sarasota. The brothers and their parents moved down to Sarasota in 2003, after a beach vacation and a dearth of Jersey-style pizza shops inspired Phil Solorzano to relocate his family. His parents and brother agreed immediately. Is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you.
This place provides food at fair prices. The modern decor and exotic atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. But this spot has been rated below average by Google. With so may competing pizza restaurants in the Gulf Gate area, you would think they would want to gain a new local year-round customer.
Well they lost this one, along with the 3 others that were with me. And, I will be sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear of this place and you should too. No wonder it has so many bad reviews on Google and Yelp.
Had white pie and slices there Thursday night. Pizza was very good and manager was friendly, but understaffed. If the owner is reading this, shame on you to be selling drug paraphernalia, specifically smoke pipes at a family restaurant. Do you really need the money! How do you explain to your kids what they are and why in a family restaurant. You should be thinking about families and what they think about it.
I spoke to the manager and he said the owner wants it. We always stop when we come to town. Big screens for sports and I personally enjoy the choice of music playing. Top notch service and fresh ingredients.
We travel all over and eat alot of pizza. This is one of the best in the world. Appreciate you being open Thanksgiving night and away from your family to accommodate mine.
Had a slice of the plain cheese pizza to give them a fair rating of just the sauce crust and cheese. I give them a 8.1 on the cheese pizza. No flop on the small slice, nice char on the bottom, crisp crust, good cheese, sassy sauce. The Sinatra my wife and mom had and they both rated it at a 9.5. I also had the Italian sub that I give a 9.1.
Crisp bread great veggies awesome cheese and flavorful meat. If I could, I'd leave a ZERO Stars review.Pizza is something that we can get at hundreds of locations. I was having a very bad day and I came in later in the night because my friend Linda has always loved Solorzano's pizzas and she thought I might like it too. Manager Kenny and owner made our night.Pizza was on point; very good ingredients and so well done.
They are literally raw and very friendly. Atmosphere is simply cool.Wish I could give them more stars. Definitely coming back again. Stopped in late night over the weekend and it's some of the finest pizza that you will have anywhere in the entire country. I have looked for Pizza all over the Sarasota area and the crust is perfect the sauce is mild but with a very nice aftertaste.

Plain pie with sliced homemade meatballs, pepperoni, sliced Italian sausage, bacon, fresh mushrooms, green bell peppers, red onions & black olives. All the reviews complaining about masks and delivery times mean nada! Anyone who knows quality will agree and anyone else probably just grew up on little caesar/ papa johns, shops at save-a-lot and has no clue what paying for quality is.
We were in town from out of state trying to find a late night dinner found this place and was excited that it was open till 4am. Drove 20mins to find that they closed at midnight. DON'T CLAIM YOUR OPEN TILL 4AM EVERY NIGHT 7 DAYS A WEEK on google and your website if you're not going to be!
I don't have a review of the food because we were unable to try it, not that I will ever go back. They can never get your order right and their pizza is very dry. You can also expect long delivery wait times. When you order anything that comes with a dipping sauce you never get it! I get all the way home and there's no sauce. With all of the attention, Solorzano's is releasing "FJB" T-shirts, which SNN reports sold out before the first supply arrived.
"Obviously, we're receiving both emotions," Solorzano told Patch. (I like their thin crust pizza.) And you can get it by the slice if you aren't hungry enough for a whole pie! In addition they also have specialty pizzas like Hawaiian Pizza Pie and Meatball Pizza Pie. I thought that would last, we were at already over 500 pizzas sold by 3pm, man was I wrong! Channel 7 News, Channel 8 News and the radio had us on the air and people came pouring in the doors.
We were at almost a 2 – 3 hour wait time on pizza. We had to make only small pies with one or two toppings, four max per person, just to make sure we could feed everybody. Only a five to ten minute walk away from your vacation rental! Lots of great gift shops and restaurants located in the Village.

Search restaurants or dishes. In 2007 Philip was offered a great opportunity to open up his own pizzeria on Siesta Key and asked his brother Carlos Jr to join him, that's when Solorzano Bros. After a few successful years on Siesta Key, the brothers opened up another pizzeria on Beneva and Webber located in the heart of Sarasota. To make things easier for the brothers they eventually split up the shops, so they could focus more time and effort on each location.
Since then, Carlos Jr. runs the 3604 Webber and Beneva location (Solorzano Bros. Pizza), and Philip is running the Gulf Gate shop & Solorzano's Late Night Pizzeria in Gulf Gate). "In the early 1960's, Filippo Centrella and his wife Lina moved to northern New Jersey from Avellino, a small town just outside of Naples, Italy. The immigrant Italians settled in Union City where they raised four children and by 1968 took over an existing pizzeria named Sole's. The Centrellas sold the business a few years later and opened Presto Pizza in West New York. After leaving Presto to his brother Vincienzo in 1977, Filippo opened a pizzeria on Washington Street in Hoboken, naming it after himself.
He and Lina, along with their children and a young pizza man named Carlos Solorzano helped make Filippo's pizzeria a success. Ignore the fake reviews from people who don't like the owner's social media presence. This is simply the best pizza in Florida.
This is an excellent pizza place. It is very hard to find good pizza in FL, but look no further. I am a vegetarian and there are tons of options for vegetarians. The Buffalo Chicken Pie is so amazing that I have to fall off the vegetarian wagon and eat it.
